BLOOD TESTING
Chronic Heavy Metal Toxicity

Why Test for Heavy Metals?

Heavy Metals are chemical elements with a specific gravity that is at least 5 times the specific gravity of water.  Heavy Metals become toxic when they are not metabolized by the body and accumulate in the soft tissues.  Toxicity can result from any of the ~23 heavy metals on our testing panel.

Understand Your Patient's Drug Sensitivity

Pharmacogenomics can help determine if a patient is metabolizing medication at a high, moderate, or low rate.

Aluminum: PGx can help REDUCE Adverse Drug Reactions from Toxicity - Excessive amounts of medications can accumulate in bloodstream leading to an adverse drug reaction.

Arsenic: PGx can help UNDERSTAND if the patient is not absorbing their medication in the bloodstream at a rate which leads to a therapeutic effect.

Iron: PGx can help REDUCE Adverse Drug Reactions from Toxicity - Excessive amounts of medications can accumulate in bloodstream leading to an adverse drug reaction.

Cadmium: PGx can help UNDERSTAND if the patient is not absorbing their medication in the bloodstream at a rate which leads to a therapeutic effect.

Lead: PGx can help UNDERSTAND if the patient is not absorbing their medication in the bloodstream at a rate which leads to a therapeutic effect.

Mercury: PGx can help UNDERSTAND if the patient is not absorbing their medication in the bloodstream at a rate which leads to a therapeutic effect.
PGx helps providers IDENTIFY patients with a possible hypersensitive response to normal amounts of prescribed medication  which can help reduce adverse drug reactions before giving the patient a customized medication plan.
